On November 8, the world premiere of Gordon Kampe’s “Mein Fleisch” will take place at the Philharmonie Essen as part of the NOW! festival. Also to be heard: Anna-Lena Elbert, soprano; Christoph Sietzen, percussion; WDR Symphony Orchestra; Brad Lubman, conductor. The performance will be repeated at the Philharmonie Köln on November 9.

On October 14, Julius Drake and Holger Falk will perform a recital of Hanns Eisler’s Hollywooder Liederbuch as part of the Oxford International Song Festival at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford.

“The Hunchback of Notre Dame”, ‘Moulin Rouge’ or ‘Wages of Fear’ – Georges Auric provided the music for these and around 250 other cinematic masterpieces. His compositions are rarely heard in concert halls today. This makes the selection of songs and chansons that Holger Falk and Steffen Schleiermacher are now presenting in their “Groupe des Six” anthology series all the more commendable. “Georges Auric: Mélodies et chansons” is already the 8th CD in this series and will be available from November 4.
